| As
captain of the 42' Bertram Grander,
Captain Tim Ellsworth towers above all other fishermen on Kauais.
Not only are his fishing skills exceptional, but at 6 foot 8 inches, almost
everyone looks up to Captain Tim. With 4 years United States Coast Guard experience on the 400 foot ice breaker Polar Sea, and having been around the world twice and to both the North and South Poles as well as having fished commercially in Alaska, Captain Tim not only knows fishing, he knows the seas. As quick with a joke or a story as he is able to spot swimming fish, Captain Tim ensures your day of fishing on Kai Bear will be not only productive but entertaining. Captain Ben Ellsworth, co-captain of the Bertram 38 Kai Bear, is a natural born sportsman. From the time he was old enough to hold a pole, Captain Ben would have either a baseball bat or fishing pole in his hands. In June, 1989, Captain Ben was the16th round draft choice of the St. Louis Cardinals. While spending 6 years riding buses around the minor leagues, he never went anywhere without his fishing pole. In 1999, Captain Ben moved to Kauai and joined the family business. With personality, charisma and fishing talents similar to his "little" brother, Captain Ben makes your day fishing on Kai Bear one you will always remember. It was our fortune and pleasure to acquire the services of one of Kauais best charter fishing captains, Captain Jordan Barefoot, co-captain of the Bertram 38 Kai Bear. Captain Jordan has been a member of the Kai Bear team since 1998. Having fished in California and on Maui as well as for other charter fishing companies on Kauai, his knowledge of pacific ocean fish in general and Hawaiian fish and waters specifically leaves little to be desired. One of the nicest people you will ever have the opportunity of fishing with! |
